With the success of yesterday’s Five Questions for Five Pockets with Scott Morrison of Earnest Sewn, we thought you might enjoy the latest tidbit from DNR. Launching this week at Project in New York, Earnest Sewn will present a slightly less-expensive collection, Earnest I Am, of four men’s and four women’s fits.
Traditionally Earnest Sewn retails from $170-$285, while Earnest I Am will hover in the range ove $124-$148. Scott told DNR, "This new line is less for a jeans snob who wants a whole denim back story, and more for the younger guy who wants something simple, sexy and of good quality–something along the lines of A.P.C or the old Helmut Lang." He also notes, "This is about being inclusive, rahter than exclusive."
All five washes will be kept simple with men’s styles including a straight let, boot cut, relaxed fit, and a novelty style. Look for a white leather back patch to distinguish the styles. While the price is a bit lower, the quality is not as Earnest Sewn is sourcing from the same Japanes, Italian, and Turkish mills used in their traditional line.
