G-Star Raw held their show on September 11th at the Park Avenue Armory. Included with all the usual fanfare that comes with a runway show was a tribute to the United Nations Millennium Campaign. Announcers came out and listed the goals of this noble and ambitious campaign to end extreme poverty around the world. Of course, after sharing their philanthropic leanings with the fashionable set, they continued to solidify their status as one of the more innovative denim brands with their Spring collection. One of the most interesting ideas coming down the runway were the detached sleeves for men and the knee-high denim spats for women. Hopefully these items aren’t just conceptual and actually make it to retail. View the video on NylonTV with Peaches Geldof.
