Another day, another super-cool Levi's art and design collaboration. This time around Levi's has teamed up with contemporary artist, Shepard Fairey of Obey Clothing, better known as the creative mind behind the ubiquitous Obama 'Hope' poster, in order to create a limited-edition collection of street-inspired clothing for men.
In order to celebrate the partnership, Shepard Fairey staged a special, public, live-art installation on the facade of the Levi's Times Square location that was created right before the eyes of fans and passerbys. When complete, the roughly 7.5ft by 24ft mural was affixed to the scaffolding facade of the Levi's Time Square store and will be on display until November 5th. The unveiling was followed by an in-store signing of a new series of four museum quality art posters designed by Fairey commemorating the collaboration. The posters were given away free with each purchase of an Obey x Levi's item while supplies lasted and fans wrapped around the block trying to get their hands on one.
Items in the collaboration will retail from $38.00 – $148.00 and will be available in select Levi's locations and on levi.com
