Okay, bear with us now. Dior Homme, the menswear arm of French, luxury retailer Christian Dior is coming out with a women's denim line some time next year under the direction of Creative Director, Kris Van Assche. There are obvious puns, head scratching and all around facetiousness that go along with that statement but we'll skip the bad jokes for now.
The new line is comprised of super skinny jeans made with premium Japanese denim consistent with the ultra-slim styles associated with Dior Homme. It is scheduled to launch next year worldwide under the name Petite Taille, which translated into English, means 'Small Size'. The jeans come in several washes, basic indigo, raw, bleached and black, and will retail for a staggering range of $500 to $1500.
"Dior Homme has always appealed to women. Therefore, we decided to offer a Dior Homme jeans version of [her] own, jeans being such a key and important unisex item galvanizing all wardrobes," says Van Assche.
