Revel Seven is a brand that has just recently come to our attention, not because of the denim itself, although they do have a solid offering, but because of the values behind it. It was founded in late 2009 by husband and wife team Joe and Amy Tomlinson who set out to produce a line of apparel that used earth-friendly processes and fabrications.
They originally started with a line of organic tees, but eventually expanded to the denim market. At a time when larger denim manufacturers are trying to reduce their carbon footprint, Revel Seven has committed to using fabrications that are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) compliant from soup to nuts. Organic denim is hand-sanded and finished using naturally-occurring elements such as vegetable dyes, salts and minerals.
Men's and women's lines come in two on-trend silhouettes each; the pipe leg and skinny for women and bootcut and straight leg for men. Prices range from $175 to $195 for both men's and women's styles and they can be found online or at select retailers.
