Diesel's been making big changes over the past year. The most recent was the hiring of Sophia Kokosalaki as Creative Director of Diesel Black Gold, who debuted her first collection with the brand this past February. Now the brand is creating a separate business division for Diesel Black Gold which will be headed up by General Manager, Andrea Baldo. Baldo has been with the company some time and is the brain behind the company's beach and underwear division which he managed for the last 4 years.

One of the first items on his agenda is to redesign the shopping areas, in-store boutiques, department store space as well as areas within Diesel stores that carry Diesel Black Gold.

"We believe that Diesel Black Gold has in its DNA all the elements of authenticity and the right attitude to effectively connect with the next generation of customers: the millenials," said Renzo Rosso. "The new strong and dedicated team will make it happen."
