It's pointless to say that jeggings, or if you prefer, denim leggings, are an essential item in a women's wardrobe. If I were to make a statement like that, you'd probably be like "duh, some blogger you are. I could have figured that out myself". What may be news to you, however, is that there is a trickle-down effect when it comes to fashion. First, the higher end lines create a product and, because they are first to market, the cost of the item is much higher at retail. That's the price you pay for being the first in fashion. But if you can wait, and not hop on the trend right away, many of the more reasonably priced stores begin creating the product a lot cheaper.
So here we have the jegging, which last year we saw sell for upwards of $200 by premium brands. Now, mall stores like Aeropostale have begin creating the jegging at a price that's almost a steal. I can't speak for the quality of the jeans since I haven't shopped at Aeropostale since college, but at $29.99 beggars can't be choosers.
