There's a new denim brand coming to the US and it's called H.A-67. The brand was inspired by the Summer of Love movement that occurred in 1967 in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco. Hence the interesting name. The company was founded by Michael Mechaly former brand president of Sacred Blue and Coil and has enjoyed success in Europe and Japan.
For their Spring/Summer 2o11 women's collection, instead of doing the usual photo editorial, they've put together a video lookbook with commentary from Mechaly himself. The styles shown stay true to the brand's focus of mixing vintage washes with modern silhouettes. Several styles stood out to me, particularly the Twiggy Legging in Dark which was a cropped legging that stopped just over the knee as well as the Kelly Bermuda in Dark Midnight Blue, which were pinstriped, knee length shorts in a body-hugging silhouettes. Another standout was the Suspender Skinny, a skinny jean with suspenders and moto details.
