It's National Business Women's Week starting today and the Tory Burch Foundation is throwing it's support behind the cause. The third week of October is meant "to call attention to women entrepreneurs, facilitate discussions on the needs of working women, share information about successful workplace policies, and raise awareness of the resources available for working women in their communities" according to The Business and Professional Women's Foundation.
Tory Burch, whose hamptonian line has slippered many a New Yorker in hardware topped ballet flats, is launching a special collection with the proceeds going to the Tory Burch Foundation. The Tory Burch Foundation was launched in 2009 in partnership with ACCION USA and was created to economically empower women to create their own businesses through mentoring and microfinancing. The collection includes the foundation CD, leather wrap bracelets, silk scarves, key chains and a pendant in the shape of a sunflower which is the foundation's symbol. In November, the collection will include tote bags, towels and an umbrella.
The price ranges from 16.99 for the CD to $195 for a silk scarf. They will be available for purchase in all Tory Burch boutiques and on www.ToryBurch.com.
