Mercury Prize winners, London-based indie band The XX, have teamed up with Lee to create customized jackets for their upcoming tour.
A quick Google and Wikipedia search revealed that the Mercury Prize is an annual best album award for artists in the UK and Ireland established in 1992 by the British Phonographic Industry and British Association of Record Dealers. They are known for drawing attention to outside acts in contrast to the more popular Brit Awards.
The XX took Lee's Rider Jacket, originally meant for cowboys and ranchers in the '30's and customized it with the band's 'X' in a tonal black on the back and in white on the back of the collar and the front pocket.
Expect to see the band wearing them currently on their 2010 tour. The uncustomized version will be in stores this November.
