Last week, I returned to Notify's showroom to catch a glimpse of their Spring 2012 men's collection. The French luxury denim label is gaining traction in the American market, and product is looking to be on multiple high-end retailer shelves in a few months. Menswear buyers from Meatpacking District department store Jeffrey had been in just prior to my visit, falling in love with the primary color bull denims. Although only for women, Notify's fluorescent denim collaboration with Manish Arora also caught their eye. Similar to the women's and children's lines, which I reported on earlier this season, bright dyes (washed orange and deep wine being big), fine denim stitchwork and superior, softened denim treatments stood out. Railroad-stripe chinos evolved the industrial workwear denim trend, while pinkish tints on light blue stone-washed jeans offered sellable differentiation.
