Last night, 55DSL screened its short film ROMA at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The event had 55DSL creator Andrea Rosso and the film’s acclaimed director David Altobelli in attendance fielding questions on the collaboration.

Knowing its young-at-heart demographic and just in time for summer travels, 55DSL (the sportier little brother of denim giant Diesel) creates an atmospheric backpacking-through-Europe mood. With nonchalant discovery and young love as central themes, the video bears all the hallmarks of a coming-of-age travel story… early morning train platforms, days exploring on loud exhaust-strewing scooters, drinking wine from the bottle in stone plazas, the occasional and rather non-fitting discotech, late night cafés… rinse, repeat.
