For its first presentation at New York Fashion Week, local denim label DL 1961 paid homage to its city roots with a diversified Spring/Summer 2013 collection full of color and texture. Known for its curvy 5-pocket fits, the brand does not veer too far from the shape, instead focusing on fabric hand and surface design. Along with traditional dark indigo and pale stonewashed shades, a full spectrum color palette features rich tones like red, bright blue and purple (for men), as well as sorbet pinks and yellows. Allover prints and paneled motorcycle constructions are key for women.
