“I’m inspired by the geometrical shapes created by nature. The diversity; the colors, lines and textures have been translated into a collection that presents new silhouettes combined with fabric and color mixes for an active and modern man.” – Jessy Heuvelink, J.Lindeberg
I must be honest: I do not know how this quote from J.Lindeberg head designer Jessy Heuvelink relates to the collection. When I read it, I had to reexamine the runway images, puzzled that I could not find "shapes created by nature". While I am not connecting on the inspiration behind the collection (are you?), I am 100% onboard the results. This is a strong, masculine collection offering a refreshing take on menswear staples.
Smart tailored suit pieces, like the double-breasted jacket, unexpectedly pair with dark trousers and pleated selvedge jeans (check out the unfinished hem). A genius move has motorcycle-inspired jackets working into these sophisticated ensembles. And I love turtlenecks under blazers. Woven shirts are relaxed; however, entire looks remain refined with cropped carrot-leg pants tighter at the thigh this season.
