Several days ago I had a conversation with a stranger about blazers and both of us agreed –you can never have enough. Thank you Stranger! This patchwork denim blazer is like three trends in one – boyfriend blazer, check; colorblocking, check; double-denim, check, check, check. For those of you cringing (and I know some of you are) this can actually be quite chic. Pair it with a floral top (see below) or some dressy black shorts and sandals. There really are quite a number of combinations if you put your imagination to work.
I skipped over this patchwork skirt several times before I decided that I liked it. Denim skirts for me are an acquired taste and I haven't quite yet acquired it. But if I had to start, this is where it would be. I don't know why. I think the Louis Vuitton denim patchwork dress that Chloe Moretz wore to the MTV Movie Awards has me a little more open to the idea. Let me just say, however, by no means am I condoning in any way, shape or form, wearing these two patchwork items together. That would be major overkill.
CLOSED tends to lean towards the monochromatic in their offerings, but every once in a while they'll slip a nice print into the mix. I love the ladylike simplicity of this asian floral blouse. It would go great worn alone with the skirt or underneath the blazer. It's lightness would offset the weightiness of the denim patchwork, no?
