Remember when I visited 7 For All Mankind's showroom earlier this year and had this big thing I wanted to tell you but couldn't (see In the Showrooms: 7 For All Mankind Fall 2013). Well, finally, I have been released me from my vow of secrecy.
7 For All Mankind has taken luxury in denim to a whole new level. The soon to be iconic brand has teamed up with french fabric and textile design company Malhia Kent to produce a limited edition collection for Fall.
Malhia Kent isn't a household name, but is well-known among fashion's most famed luxury houses. YSL, Proenza Schouler and Chanel, who used Malhia Kent fabrics in some of their most high profile collections (think the ubiquitous tweed suit), are just a few of the luxury brands that have collaborated with the company.
7 For All Mankind used Malhia Kent tweeds in a collection of three jeans and one jacket for luxury paneling on their second skin skinny jeans. It is an amazing collection. I was able to see it in person and the color palette as well as the use of the fabric is worth every bit of the price. And speaking of price, it starts at $395.
The collection launches in September. See below for the full collection.
