stack wines

Whenever I visit DC, I always make a pitstop at World Market because unfortunately we don't have one in NYC. World Market is kind of a furniture, home decor, gift, food, everything shop and despite the Americana heritage look of it, everything is reasonably priced.

During my last visit I spotted this uniquely packaged wine called Stack Wines. Basically, it's 4 wine glasses pre-filled with wine. Each glass (well actually it's plastic) is sealed with an aluminum peel-off layer except for the top most glass which has an additional plastic cap.

My boyfriend and I happened to be going to the movies that day so I bought one. We peeled off the plastic before entering, put the glasses in my bag and while watching the movie enjoyed two glasses of pino each. The naughty factor actually made for a more enjoyable evening although I can't remember for the life of me what we saw. (For the record, I'm not saying you should try this at home).

Before I went back to NYC, I went back to World Market and bought two more, another Pinot and a Cabernet. It's reasonably priced at around $14 a stack. You can also find information on their website here

I took some pics of the bottle, but sorry, no pics of a filled glass. As you can see from the residue in the glasses, I drank it.
