Ever try to convince your guy to try carry his things in something other than a backpack. Been there more times than I care to count.
For men like mine, the thought of carrying anything other than a backpack is an attack on his masculinity. As if carrying more items on his back than I do in my handbag isn't. For someone who doesn't carry makeup and keeps his wallet in his backpocket, I'm baffled by the fact that he needs one anyway.
After an enormously unsuccessful attempt at trying to get him to see the benefit of a murse, I've relegated myself to surreptitiously pointing a bag or two to him on those rare occasions we go shopping together. Despite my perseverance, success still eludes me.
New York-based brand Jack + Mulligan may be the key to my problem. Their canvas duffles and totes have the right amount of masculinity and urban chic. Subdued reds, blues and greens are just the right amount of color and the US Navy camo print is the perfect pattern for a men's tote bag. Even moreso when considering most men's reluctance to carry a tote.
If your guys still needs more convincing, slipping a Jack + Mulligan flask full of whiskey into his tote ought to do the trick.
Their bags range from a reasonable $70 – $110
