To celebrate their 125th birthday, Lee Jeans collaborated with Donwan Harrell, creative director of uber cool denim brand Prps Jeans. According to Harrell, he was given full creative control of the collection and access to the Lee archives, which I can imagine after 125 years are quite extensive. Riffing off of Lee's most iconic attributes, he meshed his own signature style to create a collection that is sure to become a collectible by any denimhead that is worth his/her weight in jeans.
The vintage washes, shanks and hangtags are standout details, but most amazing are the full illustrations covering the entire inside of the jacket and lining the pockets of the jeans. Below are photos showing what the jacket looks like in reverse and it truly is a work of art.
The release date has yet to be confirmed, but it will hit stores in Europe and Japan when that time comes. Don't fret if you live in North America. The internet and e-commerce makes almost everything attainable.
Keep watching this space to learn when the release date is announce.
