Torling went for an interesting approach when casting his models with Danish model Amanda Norgaard (above) being the only professional model in the campaign. It's shocking because it's so hard to tell. Furniture craftsman and shop owner Carlos Naude, his girlfriend, lingerie designer and former model Whitney Brown and skateboarder/sustainable surf shop owner David Lopez give good face, no, great face. The camera clearly loves them.
But what about the jeans? DL1961 can fill a magazine with the amount of jeans they offer and the fits are out of this world! My DL1961 "Riley" jeans are on heavy rotation in my wardrobe and a year later have yet to be replaced. As many jeans as I own (and I own a lot!) very few can claim that distinction. But I digress.
Only a few styles are showcased in the campaign, which will be featured on billboards, magazines and other channels, but they were just the right selection to get us excited for the spring closet restock. Especially the 70's flares seen on Whitney and the denim blouse on Amanda (below). So ready for this.
