This may be old news to some but its still worth a hearty mention. One of Asia's largest denim manufacturers, Zhongshan Yida Apparel LTD, owned by the Hong Kong-based Crystal Group, was very recently awarded the World Wildlife Federation's LCMP Gold Label.

LCMP stands for Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme and is an accreditation that assesses the following: carbon intensity/carbon footprint reduction, greenhouse gas management practices and technology processes. Companies that apply and are awarded accreditation are giving one of four ratings; Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The Gold Label is given to those companies "that have implemented a good greenhouse gas management system and are achieving some best-practice energy efficiency
