Giving back is important, especially in these trying times. We can never forget that as hard as we may have it, there are others who are much worse off. Dickies, a brand known globally for their durable workwear, has just announced a program to coincide with the launch of their limited-edition Detroit 874 work pant called "874 vs. Unemployment".
For each pair of Dickies "Detroit 874" pants sold, the company will donate a pair of Original 874's to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit to get them into the hands of unemployed workers and help them get back on their feet. Dickies has already donated an initial 5,000 pairs with the launch. The limited-edition run of Detroit 874's is also 5,000 pairs which will add up to 10,000 pairs of pants for Detroit's unemployed workers. Not only that, a cash donation of $25,000 was made to The Salvation Army in Detroit.
