Denim gets Posh

Poshskinny_4

Our buddy Andy at Denimology has two Victoria Beckham sightings, both in Superfine jeans. These photos remind us of our Jovovich-Hawk post--skinny vs. wide-leg.

What's your favorite fit?

Maise

Our friends over at CoolHunting have a heads-up on the latest Aussie wonder, Maise.

"Designed for the 'confident, modern and fashion forward girl,' Maise is predominantly a womenswear denim label. In a fashion market saturated by denim, Maise stands out with incredibly comfortable cuts, quality materials and quirky details that allow the wearer to mold each piece to suit their own style. "Maise designs can be interpreted both here and internationally" says the Aussie designer, 'they are fashion-forward designs that communicate to a broad market.'"

Denim to the 9's

Cutie patootie, Faran, over at Fashionista gave us this little tidbit: Nine West is venturing into the world of denim.

Faran's fashion gals think they look like mom-jeans and have poorly designed pockets. Women who purchased them from the Macy's website are raving about the fit.

What are your thoughts? Can Nine West save itself from previous failed expansions such as the Vivienne Westwood, Thakoon, and Kokosalaki collabs? Or should they stick to what they do best; moderately priced shoes with weird sizing?

Everyday people: David Singer for G-Star

One of our favorite people (and designer of this site,) David Singer, gave us some insight as to his favorite pair of jeans by G-Star.

Denim Hunt: David, what brand are your favorite jeans?

David Singer: G-Star, definitely.

DH: What is it that makes them so great for you? The fit? the wash?

DS: Well, I'm narrow with slight hips and no butt, so I need something that makes me look slender but without looking like a chicken.

DH: We get what you're saying.

DS: They have a slim, straight cut which works perfectly for me.

DH: Any last plugs for your favorite jeans?

DS: Sure thing--They have great washes...when they don't go overboard.
