Url Pickens Spring 09
This spring, Lee Cooper is launching a new exclusive collaboration with Parisian (by way of Chicago) designer Url Pickens. Url Pickens' resume includes a stint working for offbeat designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac as well as being a colleague and friend of Giles Deacon. This collection is described as taking inspiration from a mish-mash of music genres such as Chicago music of the 70's and 80's as well as bohemian, dreamy rock and contemporary soul.
"The pieces have been created to show our crafts in intimate ways, it is the results of 100 years of denim knowledge from Lee Cooper and my 23 years of high-end fashion. The support of Lee Cooper has given me the freedom to be subtle and transparent, along with the confidence that the collection will develop over time" says Url.
Earl Pickins is dead cool and a great designer, I have seen a lot of his work with Lee Cooper and Lou Doillon.
