Must Wear.... at SXSW

1) Must wear cuffs. Each year every music festival has a trend that is specific to that particular event. For SXSW this year, it was the cuff. There were cuffs galore. Cuff low, cuff high, cuff fancy and best of all, cuff with throwback canvas keds. 

2) Must wear color. From electric hues to warmer tones color added spice to a sea of indigo.

3) Must wear DIY shorts. Shorts showed off their versatility this year. Men preferred their shorts cut at the knee, while women found any length above the knee acceptable. Rolled or frayed, paired with tights or bare-legged, there was no wrong way to wear them; unless they were store-bought that is. 

4) Must wear denim with denim. It's interesting when a long-held taboo becomes cool again. Black with indigo, abraded with raw, faded with new; there were no rules with this look except to have fun with  it.
