D&G, the former denim line from Dolce & Gabbana, is not so much about denim these days, but they still manage to incorporate some into the line. The theme-heavy show was all about snowboarding. Denim in snowboarding is not an entirely new concept as Burton, the leader in uber-cool snowboarding gear has attempted it before (although their denim was 100% not-cotton), but it was interesting to see a luxury, heavily-styled spin on it.
D&G's take on it was chunky, chunky, chunky. Some of the usual treatments were applied, such as shredding and abrasions, along with some not so usual treatments, like reverse-bleach effects. All of it was incorporated into puffy jeans paired with chunky sweaters and oversized boots or vests to add some unexpected polish.
Nice attire for the cold season.
