It's pretty safe to say that denim is more of a novelty item at Vivienne Westwood. Something that's included in the show just because. The drop crotch and suspenders were a carryover from last season although not as extreme, but for the most part there was no real consistency other than an adherence to styling trends such as denim-on-denim and cuffing. I personally would have found it interesting if Westwood would have continued with the suspender theme. I don't know, but I think that could go somewhere.
