Denim on the Runway: Fall/Winter 2010:Proenza Schouler and J Brand Collaboration

I could easily sigh and say, "Another day, Another collaboration", but it just wouldn't be fair. I have to give credit where credit is due and a lot of these denim brands come up with stellar collabs. It's just one of those things where the more unlikely it is, the more exciting it is to see the results. 

During NY Fashion Week, Proenza Schouler debuted an exclusive denim collaboration with J Brand Jeans, marking the first ever denim produced by the high-end label. The  jeans, a show opener, were a black, high-waisted skinny with an all-over, hand-painted, graffiti/scratchiti print, highlighting the label's skill with graphics.  

"For Fall 2010 we are exploring ideas closer to home. Urban elements are less important as is the idea of uniforms. Denim fits the bill as the most ubiquitous item in most people's wardrobe. Proenza Schouler will for the first time, explore this classic element, never-the-less infusing it with the Proenza Schouler DNA," said Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough.
