Levi's and Opening Ceremony Collection Launches in Soho
Levi's and Opening Ceremony held an event last night at the popular Soho boutique to launch their new collaboration. It was a packed house and one could barely move among the chattering hipsterati.
The collection is largely corduroy with cropped jackets, oversized shirts, pants and shorts and their respective creative teams went all out to make corduroy cool. The display area was covered in cord, with corduroy upholstered chairs, books, desks, lamps and even a corduroy covered television, all of which was dyed in the colors of the collection. To add more cool to the cool factor, rugs were hung on the wall woven in the images of the promotional Levi's Opening Ceremony postcards.
The items will be sold at all Opening Ceremony stores, Levi's online and at the Levi's flagship in San Francisco, but will be available in several luxury boutiques within weeks. Prices will range from $106 for shorts and $178 for jackets.
This event marks the most recent in a spate of collaborations that both companies have been entering into with other brands.
