GUESS held a soiree last night to celebrate the launch of their new North American flagship located on New York City's famed Fifth Avenue. The store, which opened to the public today, is now the company's largest flagship location boasting a whopping 13,000 square feet and two stories of merchandise. Outside the store it's hard not to note the glistening, gleaming quality of the space through the large windows. It for sure rivals the look of any of the luxury, high-end retailers that grace Fifth Avenue and stands out amongst it's neighbors.
The interior is even more amazing with one of a kind items included in the decor like a denim rug made with over 500 vintage GUESS patches. Going up the escalator patrons will pass an art installation made of 7,000 denim buttons mounted on a black background and painted with the GUESS logo. Custom chandeliers are scattered throughout the store with a standout being a large one on the second floor made of chain mesh, the very same chain mesh that falls from the ceiling and drapes the elevator on the first floor. The capstone of it all is the framed pair of acid-washed jeans signed by none other than Mick Jagger --an item that is awe-inspiring and yet adds a personal touch at the same time.
The first floor contains the entire women's collection including the full range of accessories. Girls, prepare to feel fabulous as a 12 foot high screen plays video of GUESS fashion shows and photoshoots while you shop. True fans of the brand will be able to find a jewelry collection that includes both the domestic and European collection. A section dedicated to watches is set up boutique-style and also includes their higher end, 'Gc' collection of Swiss watches. On the second floor is additional women's apparel, including a dress section, menswear and toiletries.

I'll be there in april :-)
