Helmut Lang Fall 2011 Lookbook

 

There are things we want you to focus on when browsing through the Helmut Lang lookbook. That is, things other than the awesome clothing.

First pay close attention to the accessories. Notice the supple leather clutch with the horsehair "tail" (above) or the oversized hobo bag that can be carried two ways -lengthwise or widthwise. Last, but not least, take a look at my personal favorite, sharply angled purses of metal and leather that could easily double as at-home installation art (For a closer look see Helmut Lang Fall 2011 Preview).

Next turn your attention to the outerwear. Shearlings were seen in many showrooms for Fall 2011 but it was the rare label that went non-traditional with it. Asymmetrical cuts and an indescribable jacket that looked as if it were inspired by the work of architect Frank Gehry round up a nice assortment of conversation pieces.
