Levi's Fall 2011 Preview
Levi's always puts together an interesting presentation during preview season to show off their up and coming collection. I must say after hopping from showroom to showroom it's definitely a nice, and much needed, change of pace.
This time around they transformed a blank space into a living diorama with models placed in 'scenery' wearing clothing from the Levi's Fall 2011 collection. It was done pretty cleverly with each scene representing some feature of the line. For example, a model lounged lazily in an old-fashioned tub, with jeans taking the place of shower curtains to represent the Water < Less collection. As he pretended to scrub himself while I took the photo I thought, in the words of Helena Bonham Carter from The King's Speech, "This is quite good fun". Although, I must admit, I felt slightly voyeuristic photographing the models snuggled up next to each other on a plush bed with empty wine bottles strewn.
There was a lot of variety in the collection with raw, faded, and colored denim for both men and women. Silhouettes from dresses to jumpers for women and Fall knee-length shorts for men displayed how evolved the brand has become and the variety there is in the merchandise. You really can dress in head to toe Levi's and look one hundred percent the fashionista. Skeptical? Check out the pics and see for yourself.
