Nudie Jeans Named a Good Environmental Choice in Sweden

Picture 3

I always like to talk about corporate social responsibility, but several years ago, it was hard to tell if company's were taking it seriously or just treating as a fad. I'm happy to say that this is not the case and in the denim industry giving back has become more common than not.

Case in point, Nudie Jeans was just awarded the Swedish eco label “Bra Miljöval” or in English “Good Environmental Choice” for all of their second-hand jeans.

More specifically, the brand was recognized for a program where customers get a discount on new purchases when they turn in an old pair of jeans. Nudie than remakes, repairs and resells them under the name 'RE: collection'. Hopefully they'll began doing this in the U.S. as well.
