Celebrity Spotlight: Ashlee Simpson

 

Ashlee Simpson has gone through several dramatic style transformations over the past few years. During her impressionable years, we saw her as a wholesome teenager on 7th Heaven, a raven-haired, angsty, pop-punk artist on her debut album "Pieces of Me" and a glamorous, blonde, young hollywood starlet while dating Pete Wentz.  Married life brought about a red-haired, slightly goth temptress, while motherhood and a stint on Melrose Place released her inner fashionista in force.

Now, newly single, we're seeing a much more sprightly incarnation of this style chameleon who recently tends to stick to a short list of staples; a pixie cut, dark fedora and gray James Jeans "Twiggy" leggings in Slate. All together it says Brooklyn hipster, but being a hands-on Mom, it's a much more practical look offering versatility, comfort and style.
