Theyskens' Theory Resort 2012 Preview
This season was the first time I'd previewed Theysken's Theory since it was launched and I wasn't sure what to expect, at least as far as denim goes. I was fairly certain that either I wasn't going to see any, or there would be one or two novelty pieces. However, much to my surprise, there were more than a few samples in the collection; not enough to be extensive, but enough to feel as if denim is a key part of the overall offerings for Theyskens' Theory.
Silhouettes adhered mostly to loose-fitting styles in neon bright and/or marblized washes. At first glance, denim appeared to be a heavy ounce but when handled was actually quite light. It was hard to see without a model how some of the styles would look on a person but I was able to visualize the boyfriend style shorts on and I liked what I saw in my head.
Noteworthy styles were the super bright pants in neon green and neon red. Attention whores everywhere will flock to those looks. By contrast, I adored the prim handbags with their matronly shapes and bright colors.
