Video Lookbooks, Yay or Nay? American Eagle Fall 2011 Featuring U.S. Royalty

 

We're starting to see more video lookbooks lately. It's hard for me to decide how I feel about them. On the one hand, they are much more entertaining than a slideshow. You're able to see more movement in the garments and the brands can get much more creative. Case in point, American Eagle has a video that features forty beautiful young things frolicking in the Nashville countryside clad in the brand's Fall 2011 collection. Singing in the background is band U.S. Royalty belting out a very catchy, foot tapping tune. On the other hand, it's hard to linger on a look like you can in a slideshow and I've found myself trying to rewind the video to the exact point to look at a certain item which can be frustrating. So I'm torn. What do you think about video lookbooks. Yay or nay?
