Celebrity Trend: Who Wears Short Shorts?

 

Just walking around the streets of New York City during this very hot Summer has confirmed that shorts are back. I know some of you are thinking, what do you mean shorts are back? Were they even gone? So, I'm going to put this in perspective. If you are over the age of 25, can you remember the last time you wore a pair of shorts...outside? Exactly.

For the past few years they've pretty much been the staple of teens and tweens with most retiring them at adulthood, but no longer. With the introduction of Fall shorts last season, they've become a transseasonal item and have made many of us realize that we don't have to retire everything in our closet with the changing seasons. For Fall we saw shorts paired with tights and sweaters, and now for Summer shorts are working with boots and long-sleeve tops.

From clean to abraded, from baggy to tight, from indigo to colorful, the variety of styles are giving us a versatility not quite seen before, elevating this item from teen throw-ons to fashion staple.
