Naked & Famous' Glow in the Dark Jeans are Pretty Awesome

 

Our friends over at famed Soho boutique Atrium just let us in on a new jean they have in stock that will shock you.

It's a glow in the dark jean by Naked & Famous Denim called the "Weird Guy Jean". What a fitting name considering that if you wear these while they glow, you will be definitely considered the weird guy, or maybe the cool guy, most likely one or the other by someone.

The jeans work by applying a phosphorescent coating to the fabric which is then baked into it. The coating absorbs light and then slowly releases it with an emanating green glow. This isn't the first time a brand has made glow-in-the-dark jeans. Remember Diesel's "Flash for Fun"? I thought those jeans were a super awesome novelty jean, but I have to say, Naked & Famous' version does seem a lot more wearable considering how normal they appears when not glowing.

The glowing effect will become customized to the wearer over time as the coating will degrade in certain parts with normal wear and tear.

The jeans retail for $240 and can be purchased at Atrium's e-boutique. From the looks of things they are going to sell out fast, so if you want them, don't wait.
