What is Genetic Denim's "SILK Denim"?

 

We recently got word of a new fabrication coming from Genetic Denim called "Silk Denim". Having just visited their showroom (Genetic Denim Fall 2011/Holiday 2012 Preview) we know that experimenting with fabric is something the brand is good at. I wish I'd heard about this before I went because I would have asked if it was included in the collection. I'm a textilophile and would have loved to get a feel of these jeans. Although in the pics, the fabrics look like silk, I don't think it is. I'm guessing the name has more to do with the texture than anything else. Or it could be a silk/cotton blend. Who knows.

All we know for sure is that it's available in six colors, in cropped or full-length styles and won't be launching until Spring 2012. Guess we have to wait, but when we know, you'll know.
