Henry & Belle, Spring/Summer 2012

Henry & Belle, the Chicago-based denim label known for fostering humanitarian and community awareness, presented its Spring 2012 collection last week in New York. Focusing on premium fits and fabrics, these jeans are already big with celebrities; and seeing the quality firsthand, I understand why!

Henry & Belle's 4-way stretch denim creates streamlined skinny and bootcut silhouettes, and has standout stretch recovery. The label's super stretch and lightweight stretch fabrics also provide key shape and comfort, while its non-stretch Japanese denim works for retro gaucho shorts (super cute) and on-trend sailor pant silhouettes. Self-belting carpenter pants and pinup shorts merge workwear and nautical influences. Military surplus-inspired faded moss has major appeal, and could be the new big alternative to standard indigo.
