Getting me in the festive mood, Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply offers a home-for-the-holidays holiday collection full of vintage-inspired rugged looks with a few modern twists. 

Rich reds, olive greens and indigos comprise the traditional palette, with black (in the form of chambray or dirty denim washes) adding fresh graphic interest. The "Slayden" distressed graphite workwear jean and muddy "Lincoln" denim jacket give a hard edge to otherwise cozy, wholesome looks (chunky snowflake knit cardigans, buffalo check cotton or wool workshirts, puffer vests, plaid-lined trousers). For outerwear, the traditional navy pea coat and American flag patch denim jacket merchanidize well into the collection.

I love that the vintage pea coat was paired with sweatpants. Now, I say this delicately, so don't get it twisted… With the right amount of rakish attitude and a few styling moves (i.e. the aforementioned pea coat, good sunglasses, maybe a chambray shirt and a knit beanie), sweats can give a kind of urban, cool, devil-may-care look to a certain type of young man…when done infrequently…on the weekend…preferably before 11am.
