DenimHunt's favorite looks from 7 For All Mankind Spring/Summer 2012
Building upon what I first noticed at 7 For All Mankind's Spring 2012 press event, the new lookbook features chilled boho styling for next spring.
The men's shirts are on-point in exemplary fabrics like the yarn-dye stripe double face and the sun-faded coral shirting. Light indigo chambray and check patterns offer a relaxed take on workwear ideas; the double chest pockets (welt and flap) look especially right. Evoking a carefree summer holiday, the label's "standard" fits refresh in sunset gold and paradise red… that gold is also key for jean jackets. 7's blue slate chinos bring an indigo denim element to khakis.
For a subtle twist, 7 For All Mankind updates its knits, featuring Henley-style button plackets on its V-necks (for him) and tank tops (for her). That coral from the men's line becomes a richer flamingo tone for the women's collection, and looks fantastic with the teal denim roll up shorts… great color combination for summer! The deep indigo ruched top and black skinnies give just the right amount of tailored edge to the women's line, but remain eased when paired with pale yellow jeans or bleached-out denim tops.
