G-STAR Fall/Winter 2012 - Men's - showroom sneak peek

Yesterday morning, I stopped by G-STAR to take a look at the new lines for men and women. While inspired by 1920s nautical and formal apparel, the collections remained brand-relevant, retaining G-STAR's classic, gritty denim lifestyle appeal. 

For men, my favorite details are the embroidered tromp l'oeil side pockets and self-belts on the workman's trousers from G-STAR x Marc Newson. The label offers a range of dark color denims for FW12, which style with sophisticated heritage blazers and overcoats. G-STAR has been stepping up its game, sourcing premium non-denim materials to match its advanced jeans surfaces. The hefty yet sleek modernist pea coats are key silhouettes for next winter. Overall FW12 is a great collection, which I look forward to writing more about when picking my favorites from the G-STAR lookbooks.
