MARSHALL ARTIST, outerwear favorites FW12

Vintage nautical and sailing jackets in heavy, beeswax-coated cotton are some of my favorite transitional jackets of MARSHALL ARTIST FW 12. On-the-high-seas details like metal cantilever clasps, reinforced elbows, pull cords with leather stoppers, embroidered eyelet vents and rear storm flaps bring vintage functionality to the street.

Vests will remain key layering pieces next season, and the label is offering a range of options from the tailored gilet to the quilted fishing vest. Leather yokes, welt pockets and waist straps contrast waxed or downproof cotton. For winter, the arctic expedition-inspired parka is a standout, fully lined and down-insulated.
