At the Showroom: AMERICAN EAGLE, Fall/Winter 2012

For FW12, AMERICAN EAGLE presents a smaller, more cohesive collection of late summer and back-to-school looks. At the press preview a few weeks back, I got a sneak peek at the collection, which mixes relaxed boho themes with Western denim and rethought prep school ideas. The clean button-front shirts with ties for guys are pleasantly not too formal, and allow enough room for individual statement-making. For girls, feminine floral dresses pull from various eras. The printed jeggings, jean jackets and cutoffs are sure to be major hits.
