DR DENIM Fall/Winter 2012

Inspired by the past and the wild, family-owned Swedish brand Dr Denim looks to the Devolution movement of the 1980s for its FW12 collection. Believing that burgeoning materialism had lead to corruptive, destructive technologies that were causing harmful effects to health and wellbeing, a group of young Swedish people fled their small city apartments to the warm and welcoming woods. They adopted self-sufficient lifestyles, living in nature. For many Devolutioners, this became a spiritual practice, giving meaning to daily life.
