ASOS Launches Denim Style Guide Hub With Revamped Styles for 2013

UK-based, online retailer ASOS has always been one of my favorite go-to online shops since I "discovered" them via word of mouth several years ago. Browsing their website is pretty much a weekly ritual for me, not only because of their great mix of high/low fashion, but also because of their shopper-friendly website and easy return system.
ASOS has always sold denim, but it has never been central to the site. Well that all changes, as today marks the launch of the ASOS Denim Style Guide Hub. The Hub is a denim-focused style guide that uses ASOS' signature elements such as multiple view slideshows and video. In the Hub, though, the views are much, much larger and instead of a runway show, the model turns in slow-mo, giving a 360 degree view of the fit. A smart change, as those shopping for denim online will be more interested in viewing the wash and fit from all angles as opposed to how it looks on a runway. Also, in the slideshow view, little stylized tabs pop up pointing out small details about the particular style.
For the launch, ASOS has redesigned six key styles; loose boyfriend, slim boyfriend, ultra skinny, skinny, slim leg and kick flare. The prices are reasonable, peaking at $70. Standout styles are the "Elgin Skinny Jean Mono Stripe" (below) which will be perfect for those trying to channel their inner Miley Cyrus, as well as the 3-D marblized wash in light pastels featured on several skinny styles.
So I end this with...What took so long?
