This top is a no-brainer. Stripes are hot right now (see "The Right Stripes"), but wearing them on the bottom can be somewhat difficult as evidenced by some of the fashion disasters we've seen lately. Sorry if you're one of them, but I guess if you are one you wouldn't know anyway, sooo moving right along... A sheer black and white striped top has been a popular item for personal style bloggers and ModCloth's version is perfect for shorts, pants and skirts. Also, if the black and white stripe trend implodes from oversaturation, which is very likely, the wallet-friendly price will save you a lot of buyer's remorse.
Levi's Dart and Soul Shorts - $67.99
These shorts are a perfect combination of old meets new. Retro details like pleats are flat-seamed for a modern update and the high waist is not so high that it's darn near touching the bottom of your bra. Yes, I've had this experience before and I'd bet dollars to donuts you have too. The exposed pockets are reminiscent of today's cut-off shorts, but using denim as opposed to the random floral print keeps the retro theme and also creates an interesting silhouette.
Texture Expert Wedge - $184.99
Sometimes you just need a comfortable shoe, but unfortunately comfort doesn't always equate to stylish. I know what your thinking. Ballet flats. But I'm going to be blunt here. Ballet flats are tired, boring and overused. Personally, I refuse to wear them. No offense to those that love them. To each her own. But if it means working a little harder to find style and comfort, I can sweat a little. This low wedge is somewhat basic in it's design, but the additional straps and multiple colors add interest. Modcloth styled them with a dress, but I'd rather show off these shoes in shorts.
In love with all manner of chunky rings? So am I. Although, I couldn't say for certain that I would wear this ring, I just couldn't pass it up. It's unique in it's simplicity and for those that are into quirk, it makes one hell of a quirky statement.
