#InspoSeries London Men's Spring 2015 Shows

With London ending and Milan just revving up, the Mens Spring/Summer 2015 shows are in full swing. Men's runway is a great source of inspiration even for those of us that prefer the girlier side of things because, let's face it, menswear is inspired by womenswear is inspired by menswear is inspired by womenswear is inspired by...well, you get it.

I've rounded up a few of my favorite trends from the London runway such as DIY patches and fancy bomber jackets. Although all of these looks were made for men, they would work so well on us don't you think?

Scroll below for some spring/summer inspo and check back for a roundup of the Milan and Paris shows.

CULOTTES

I wouldn't call them culottes to his face, but we women know that's exactly what they are. The light two-toned version by Common is my favorite, but the other two styles show just how versatile this look can be for both men and women.

THE CANADIAN TUXEDO REDUX

If you thought you were going to see the end of denim on denim, I hope you didn't hold your breath because the end is nowhere in sight. From structured shapes, 70's patchwork and western details there is still so much more left to be done with this trend that it may never end.

"DIY" PATCHES

From 60's psychedelic to 80's brights, patches have moved from the festival to the runway (see Fun Coachella Denim that Should Go Mainstream). This time men aren't waiting for the ladies to kick off this ecclectic DIY style. Brands like Topman are going to let the men take the lead on this one.

BOMBER JACKETS

Bomber jackets work so well with so many looks that the sporty silhouette is becoming a lot less so. The black textured and metallic styles are my favorites and are perfect for either dressing up or adding a little edge to basic skinny jeans and white tees. But if that's not your thing colorful stripes and military styles are great too. The point is, there's something for everyone.

STRIPES, STRIPES, STRIPES...Everybody!

Vertical stripes, diagonal stripes, pin stripes, thick stripes, head to toe stripes, stripes, stripes, stripes, stripes. There's nothing left to say except if you're going to do head to toe stripes, best to keep it black and white.

Girls who like boys who like girls who like boys...

What better way to end a report about finding inspiration in menswear than these gender bending looks. Pink prints, voluminous silhouettes and sequin tops show that women aren't the only ones who will be poaching from the opposite sex. Girls watch your closets.
