We read every single one and it never ceases to amaze us how knowledgeable our readers are and how serious they are in expanding that knowledge. As we all know, denim has moved beyond workwear apparel into a full blown lifestyle that has its own, dare I say it, culture. The plethora of styles, washes and finishings available are mind-blowing and while some pairs may break the bank, the workmanship that goes into producing them justify the price. Even those few holdouts that turned their noses up at the price tag when premium jeans became the standard several years ago have become true believers, thanks to that all important characteristic that you only get in the finest pair of jeans...fit.

We love these details!

Luxirie by LRG has created a super sexy 5 pocket stretch denim skinny jean with cheetah print lining. Denim Flats

This month's In Style Magazine features some denim flats for the summer. Ballerina flats have been all the rage and these add something a little special to the style. We always love to highlight denim accessories, but it can be difficult to match them with an outfit. Usually, it forces us to choose between showing off our denim trousers or sporting our fabulous denim alt-piece. Oh, the dilemma!

Luke 1977

British denim label, Luke 1977, is breaking out with some interesting features for menswear. The jeans are made from high quality Japanese denim and some of the styles feature a leather coin pocket. Not quite bespoke, but the small details definitely add a high-class attitude to a casual brand. According to their press release, this brand is already being worn by indie royality like Arctic Monkey and The Kaiser Chief.

Denim Trainers

With all of the hot new sneaker trends out there, of course, denim is making an impact. Supra has created  a Skylow style with a classic, slim look. This cool kick comes with a stash pocket and wax laces. Skateboard not required.

Used Jeans

French denim brand, Used Jeans, has some fabulous things happening for Summer 2008. The line was relaunched in in 2002 after being founded over 20 years ago. The collection has recently been featured in Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Elle, strutting its stuff through the high-waisted wide legged 70's styles of the season. One of our favorite Japanese Denim companies, Edwin, has announced the launch of a new collection for fall. This small collection is vintage inspired and will include 5 styles for men and 3 for women, with various unique finishes, like stain washes and distressed denim. Edwin is famous for their innovative vision when it comes to denim and we hope that this is the beginning of many more capsule collections from their designers. Check it out online, especially if you aren't in Europe - the only place to find these jeans at retail...for now.
